12:40 Paddy’s Super Enhancements Maiden Hurdle 2m
If able to recapture his summer form, then Crowns Major will take a bit of beating. He was excellent on debut when winning his bumper at the Punchestown festival before performing very well in handicaps on the flat. He won the Galway Shopping Centre Premier Handicap at the Galway Festival before finishing fourth in the Petingo Handicap on Irish Champions Weekend. He is sure to be primed for his hurdles debut.
Luke Short has ran into some smart types on his two hurdles runs so far and can be competitive again. Third at Navan and then second at Gowran Park, he finished clear of the remainder on both occasions and could put his experienced to good use.
SELECTION: CROWNS MAJOR
Next best: Luke Short

The experience of her hurdles debut should bring Jeremys Jewel on to win now.
Paul Nolan’s mare looked to be coming with a winning run at Fairyhouse and perhaps would’ve got up but for an untidy jump at the last. She’s a very powerful-looking mare who won two summer bumpers and is the one to beat if her jumping improves.
Memorable Daise was perhaps a little outclassed in listed company at Gowran Park and should be more competitive now. The full sister to hurdles winner Daisy’s Gift was a good winner of a Galway bumper in July and is sure to be primed for her hurdles debut.
SELECTION: JEREMYS JEWEL
Next best: Memorable Daise

This is competitive, but the manner in which Mr Josiey Wales won over course and distance entitles him to a crack at this level.
Dermot McLoughlin’s gelding ran away with a maiden hurdle in April and only found the smart Noble Yeats too good at Navan before that. He’s ran well fresh in the past and he looks an exciting prospect.
Sweet Street won nicely at this venue a fortnight ago and relishes this trip. She was fourth in listed company at Limerick before that when she did all her best work late on. She’s been a revelation since upped in trip and is sure to go well again.
SELECTION: MR JOSIEY WALES
Next best: Sweet Street
2:25 Paddy Power From The Horses Mouth Podcast EBF Novice Chase (Grade 3) 2m 4f
A classy renewal can go the way of Cape Gentleman. The 142-rated hurdler and Galway Hurdle third put in a good round of jumping on his chase debut when easily accounting for Buddy Rich at Punchestown and should improve from that run. The step back up to two and a half miles should suit him perfectly.
The selection’s stablemate Noble Yeats has the booking of Davy Russell to aid his chances and he can go well. He just got the better of Gabynako at Galway when just getting up in the shadows of the post. The step up in trip will suit.
SELECTION: CAPE GENTLEMAN
Next best: Noble Yeats
3:00 Paddy Power Cork Grand National Handicap Chase (Grade B) 3m4f
Scottish Grand National third Mister Fogpatches ran well on his seasonal reappearance and looks the one to be on. He gets in here off a nice mark of 134, just 6lbs higher than when winning at the Punchestown Festival over just short of four miles in May.
He shaped like he needed the run at Listowel when fourth behind Uisce Beatha and that should leave him spot-on for this.
Screaming Colours hasn’t run since fourth in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter but won off a break around this time last year and is sure to be ready to go.
He relishes these sorts of contests, running well in the Amatuer National and the Grand National Trial last season. He can go well off a mark of 132.
SELECTION: MISTER FOGPATCHES
Next best: Screaming Colours

Romella looks to be getting better with every run and can complete a four-timer. She’s gone up an accumulative 21lbs in the handicap since she won at Clonmel in June but she has accounted for some smart types along the way and may not have reached her ceiling yet.
Ray Hackett has called upon Aine O’Connor to ride Rock On Seamie once again and they are sure to be involved. Winner of the Ladies Handicap Hurdle at Navan last month, he’s been competitive on all starts over hurdles since winning on the flat at Ballinrobe in June. He got 3lbs for his Downpatrick run but that shouldn’t alter his chances too badly.
SELECTION: ROMELLA
Next best: Rock on Seamie

It’s very hard to get away from Agritime. The Mountain High mare was a smart winner at Limerick last time out and Emmet Mullins has booked Patrick Mullins for the ride. She looks like a smart prospect and should account for this small field.
Perhaps Hi Ski can be the best of the rest. The Flemensfirth mare is out of bumper and hurdle winner Roisin Dubh and could go well on her debut for Liam Burke.
SELECTION: AGRITIME
Next best: Hi Ski
