1.25 Coolmore Arizona Irish EBF Maiden 1m
Sea Legend is a hopeful choice to build on an encouraging debut at this track in late June when he was beaten less than two lengths into third by Proud And Regal in a seven-furlong maiden. The form of that race looks solid and Proud And Regal has since won at Group 3 level while the horse that finished immediately behind Sea Legend, Alder, has since won a maiden at Killarney.
Alder defeated Hiawatha at Killarney before the latter went on to fill the same position at Galway. That Killarney maiden would indicate that Sea Legend could have a slight edge over Hiawatha.
SELECTION: SEA LEGEND
Next best: Hiawatha

A fascinating race confined to newcomers and Continuous is put forward as the selected of three Ballydoyle runners. He is out of a winning Galileo own-sister to the top-class Maybe, dam of the outstanding Saxon Warrior.
It would not be a surprise if Intellotto turned in a bold showing. He is a son of Lope De Vega out of a listed-placed middle-distance runner from one of the great Aga Khan families.
SELECTION: CONTINUOUS
Next best: Intellotto
2.35 Neville O’Byrne Memorial Irish EBF Fillies Handicap 1m 4f
Kerkiyra looks a filly on the up and she can make it two wins from as many starts in handicaps. She showed a nice level of form in maidens and then landed a 10-furlong fillies’ handicap here last month when she got home by a neck from Nectarine. The step up to this trip shouldn’t be a problem for her and she has first-time cheekpieces to aid her cause.
Kazakdaria looks a threat as she attempts to build on a creditable fourth in this race last year. Her third to Earl Of Tyrone in a decent one-mile-six-furlong handicap here in June is a strong piece of form in the context of this race.
SELECTION: KERKIYRA
Next best: Kazakdaria

In an intriguing development Ryan Moore rides Aesop’s Fables rather than Hans Andersen. The former looked a good colt when he won a Navan maiden on his debut in April, but that came over an extended five furlongs and it was also 119 days ago.
Aesop’s Fables is clearly a colt of major potential, but so too is Hans Andersen who progressed from a nice first run at Tipperary to win a maiden here on Oaks weekend in fine style, defeating the subsequent maiden winner Al Riffa with some authority. That performance was one of the most taking maiden efforts of the season and it earns Hans Andersen the vote.
The hat-trick chasing Proud And Regal is respected, but this race is likely to demand more than the Tyros Stakes.
SELECTION: HANS ANDERSEN
Next best: Aesop’s Fables
3.45 Alpha Centauri Debutante Stakes (Group 2) 7f
Meditate can stretch her unbeaten run to four. She followed up her debut win at this track with a Group 3 success at Naas and did better again with a dominant display from the front which saw her win the Albany Stakes with something to spare at Royal Ascot. This trip is a step into the unknown for her but her efforts to date suggest she will be quite at home at this distance.
She looks a standout candidate and can deal with Zoinnocent who followed up a Gowran Park maiden win with a half-length second to Never Ending Story in the Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown last month.
SELECTION: MEDITATE
Next best: Zoinnocent
4.20 Sheehy Motors Skoda Maiden 6f
The well-drawn Secret Magician could be worth taking a chance on. He has run at up to 10 furlongs but his best efforts have been over six and seven furlongs at this track. When he last ran he was beaten just over four lengths by the subsequent Platinum Stakes winner Mutasarref in a seven-furlong handicap here on Derby weekend and that run suggested he could be placed to advantage in a maiden through the second half of the season.
He is chosen ahead of Toriangel who shaped quite nicely in a one-mile maiden at Leopardstown last week when appearing not to get home behind Only. She was beaten just over four lengths into fourth having travelled nicely through the race and could be very interesting back at this trip.
SELECTION: SECRET MAGICIAN
Next best: Toriangel
4.55 William Fry Neville O’Byrne Tribute Maiden 1m 2f
Hibernia Oppositus might build on a debut second at Dundalk in March. He will have to improve on that second to Agatino but looks like one who should sharpen up a good deal for that initial experience. A track like this should suit him very well.
He looks a three-year-old with plenty to offer through the second half of the season and he can see off the 85-rated Smooth Tom who has plenty of nice efforts to his name, the most recent of which was a second to Sir Antonino in a one-mile handicap at Galway last month.
SELECTION: HIBERNIA OPPOSITUS
Next best: Smooth Tom

A speculative vote goes to Amazing Emma. She has yet to win this season but a couple of runner-up efforts behind Curraheen Princess would suggest that there are more races to be won with her and her last run behind Gordon Bennett at this track was a respectable one in a higher grade of handicap than this.
Harry’s Hill does enjoy an ease in the ground and if the ground eases somewhat he looks a big player as he aims to build on a Tipperary win in June.
SELECTION: AMAZING EMMA
