High City Roller could be difficult to beat on his second start for Liz Doyle. The six-year-old won a Limerick bumper for Willie Mullins just over a year ago, and though he failed to win in three starts over hurdles for the champion trainer, he ran well to be placed on each occasion. He looked to have run at least to that level when only a neck away from Hartur D’Arc on his stable debut, notwithstanding any further improvement he will get from that race, considering he was running off a 256-day absence.
On ratings, Mister Twist is bang there, considering he has a mark of 107 and receives 8lb from the selection. He also has run well over this course and distance, having finished third to Set Point here in May.

Foxfire Glow can get off the mark for Gordon Elliott. The J.P. McManus-owned five-year-old was well held by Horantzau D’airy at Punchestown last time but that is decent form in the context of this race. He finished within a length and a quarter of runner-up Striking, who has since won impressively back over the same course and distance. Foxfire Glow was also coming off a 148-day break on that occasion so should strip fitter now.
Dysart Dasher is a half brother to Dysart Dynamo but disappointed on his debut last Christmas at Limerick. Given time since, he remains a nice prospect, and deserves a second chance now on hurdles debut. Duleek Street has finished second on his only two starts over hurdles, both over this course and distance, so can go well again.

The progressive Fruit Blossom can go in again for Gordon Elliott. The seven-year-old mare put up a fine effort on her previous start when she was racing from 4lb out of the handicap in the McHale Mayo Handicap Hurdle, eventually finishing fourth to the classy Lunar Power. This doesn’t look as hot a race and she may well improve again.
Presenting Doyen is closely matched with Fruit Blossom, having exchanged first and second place positions with that mare on her last two starts. She has only five starts over hurdles so should progress again. Bella Bliss stopped quickly at Wexford on her previous start, having travelled well into the race, and she deserves another chance to resume the good form she had shown prior to that run.

Gordon Elliott has a good hand here through In From The Cold and By Your Side who both have strong claims. Slight preference is for the latter mentioned, who was most unlucky to miss out at the Punchestown Festival when nosed out of it by Broomfield Bijou in a big-field handicap hurdle. He has since run well on the flat at Chester and can resume his progression back over hurdles.
In From The Cold is an interesting contender after he returned to winning ways on the flat at Sligo. He has only had four runs for Elliott and runs back over hurdles now, where he has made just eight starts. Willyouwalkwithme, engaged on Saturday, will have a chance if running in this assignment, coming off the back of two solid efforts at this course.

Sequoiaspirit looks the one to beat on the back of two wins in a row on the flat. Ray Hackett’s gelding scored at Gowran Park and most recently at Roscommon to improve his flat assessment from 60 to 75. His rating over hurdles is 106 and he has finished second on three of his last four starts in this sphere.
Charlie Luciano is out again quickly having finished seventh at Leopardstown on Thursday evening. He was probably inconvenienced by the slow pace in that contest and was a comfortable winner when last seen over hurdles at Kilbeggan.
SELECTION: SEQUOIASPIRIT

A tentative vote goes to Jinxs Link. The Michael Rice-trained seven-year-old showed up quite well on his previous run at Ballinrobe, having pulled hard early before coming through to take third behind We’llhavewan. That was easily his best effort in eight starts - hurdles and flat combined - and if he can build on it now, he has a decent chance of taking this off a mark of 87.
Be My Hero has put up two good efforts on his last two starts, finishing sixth to I Don’t Get It at Down Royal and then second to Away To Milan at Wexford. He should go well again.

River Tara should be able to get off the mark for Willie and Patrick Mullins. She finished second on her first start for Mullins in a Kilbeggan bumper in April and ought to come forward from that, seen as she was racing there off a 340-day absence.
Air Drop can give her most to do. Gordon Elliott’s mare ran well in a maiden hurdle at Listowel, fading into fourth late on. She reverts to a bumper now and may well be able to post a better effort.
