1.40 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle 2m 1f

The Gordon Elliott-trained Speculatrix can make an immediate impact on her first start over hurdles. A winner on her bumper debut at Punchestown in February 2023, the five-year-old was off the track for over a year before running respectably in two graded bumpers towards the end of last season.

A moderate handicapper on the flat, Fair Damsel shaped with plenty of encouragement when runner-up over hurdles at Tipperary in May. A reproduction of that run should see the daughter of Dragon Pulse go close.

SELECTION: SPECULATRIX

Next best: Fair Damsel

Say It So can continue the excellent recent form of the Eric McNamara yard. A winner at Cork on his penultimate start over hurdles, the five-year-old kept on well when third behind a stablemate at Listowel last time. With promising young conditional jockey Calum Hogan taking over in the saddle, the gelding is now 1lb below his Cork mark. Down Royal runner-up Eastmore holds obvious claims for trainer Charles Byrnes. A decent handicapper on the flat, the four-year-old is well handicapped over hurdles.

2.50 Panoramic At Killarney Racecourse Rated Novice Hurdle 2m 1f

A runaway winner of a flat handicap at this track in July, Chutzpal could be well-in off a mark of 113. Having exploited a lenient hurdles rating with two subsequent easy victories, the five-year-old appears to have more to offer. Ethan O’Sullivan, who was in the saddle last time, claims a valuable 7lb allowance.

Course and distance winner Al Gasparo has been a consistent gelding since joining current connections. Although facing no easy task giving weight to his rivals, the Gavin Cromwell-trained five-year-old should be competitive.

SELECTION: CHUTZPAL

Next best: Al Gasparo

3.25 James Collins Memorial Handicap Hurdle 2m 6f 180yds

Runner-up at Wexford on his stable debut in August, Technology can register a first career success. The John McConnell-trained gelding had shown promise earlier in his career but lost his way somewhat until last time. Following a very encouraging Irish debut, the seven-year-old should be capable of getting his head in front.

A beaten favourite on his last three starts, The Striker Dylan is bred to appreciate this step up in trip. Second on two occasions recently, the Liam Cusack-trained six-year-old shouldn’t be waiting long to open his account.

SELECTION: TECHNOLOGY

Next best: The Striker Dylan

4.00 Torc Waterfall Handicap Chase 2m 1f

The Henry de Bromhead-trained Freddie Robdal can return to winning ways under Ethan O’Sullivan. A winner at Wexford in July, the seven-year-old ran respectably when a staying-on fifth back at that same venue last time. As a hold-up horse who tends to come with a strong late charge, the long straight here should play to his strengths.

General Clermont appeared to have plenty in hand when easily winning at Wexford on his penultimate start. Following a solid run back over hurdles here last time, the eight-year-old remains one to keep onside.

SELECTION: FREDDIE ROBDAL

Next best: General Clermont

4.35 Ross Golf Club Beginners Chase 2m 7f 100yds

The Great Unknown can make a winning debut over fences. Third in her only point-to-point run, the Henry de Bromhead-trained mare shaped with promise in some hotly-contested maiden hurdles over the winter.

De Bromhead has often run some of his nicer horses at this venue, so it is surely significant that she has her introduction to fences under rules here.

Pictures Of Home has to be of interest in first-time blinkers. The Ted Walsh-trained gelding has crucial fencing experience, which will stand to him in a race of this nature.

SELECTION: THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Next best: Pictures Of Home

Handicap Chase 2m 7f 100yds

Well handicapped over fences relative to his chase mark, My Friend The Wind can take this finale for Eric McNamara. A dual winner over flights, the nine-year-old hinted that he might be capable of registering a first win over fences when staying on into fifth at Ballinrobe last time.

Former course and distance winner Definiteadare should find this easier having raced from out of the handicap at Tramore on his most recent outing. Trained locally by Charles Coakley, the gelding is sure to have had this race as a target for some time.

SELECTION: MY FRIEND THE WIND

Next best: Definiteadare
