2.05 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden
From a betting perspective, the opener on day three is not the most exciting prospect. It should be a fairly straightforward victory for Aidan O’Brien’s Master of The Hunt. The odds-on shot was only beaten two and a half lengths by the unbeaten and exciting Henry Longfellow on debut. Starliner, from the Donnacha O’Brien stable, will likely chase Master Of The Hunt home.
Selection: Master of The Hunt
Next Best: Starliner

Von Krolock comes into this race after two very encouraging runs in Cork. He was only beaten by a nose by one of today's rivals, Rock Dandy. Now with a pull in the weights and a more favourable draw, Tim Doyle’s contender should be able to reverse that form and might even go close. Purring Along has had some fine performances during a busy summer campaign. If the ground does soften up she could be there or thereabouts.
Selection: Von Krolock
Next Best: Purring Along

Owner Michael Ryan spoke about his love for Listowel in The Irish Field two weeks ago and there has been some small overnight money for his filly Finsceal Go Deo (9/1). Jim Bolger's three-year-old put in an absolute cracking performance in Navan last time out and a repeat of that run would see her go very close here off a nice mark. Ado McGuinness spoke highly of Sirjack Thomas before Galway and he didn’t disgrace himself in either of his two outings there. A return to seven furlongs might suit the grey gelding.
Selection: Finsecal Go Deo
Next Best Sirjack Thomas
3.50 Edmund & Josie Whelan Memorial Listowel Stakes
The featured listed race is a tricky one to call and plenty have chances. Mirimas for Joseph O’Brien has performed well recently in high-quality fields. It seems the penny has finally dropped with the five-year-old and she will surely put in a good performance here again. Fleetfoot for Jim Bolger has never been out of the top three in six outings. Soft ground will be no issue and he should be close enough to the frame here.
Selection: Miramis
Next Best: Fleetfoot

Old Faithful's debut run was very promising - a five-length defeat to the exciting Diego Velazquez is not bad. He is getting weight off all his rivals today and the booking of Oisin Murphy is significant. Tamrat’s maiden performance was very eye-catching. The opening race on the card will be a good indicator for this one. If Starliner puts it up to Master Of The Hunt, you would have to fancy Tamrat to run a massive race here.
Selection: Old Faithful
Next Best: Tamrat
5.00 Listowel Arms Hotel Handicap
By the time this race goes to post it's likely the ground will be quite soft and that will definitely suit the current 9/2 favourite, Cristal Clere. John Nallen’s five-year-old got the better of Fleetfoot last time out and that one is near the top of the betting for today’s listed race. Sean Bowen’s claim gives Cristal Cleere a weight advantage and he should go very close. Galway festival winner Laughifuwant is also a nice each-way prospect in this competitive handicap.
Selection: Cristal Clere
Next Best: Laughifuwant
5.35 Jet, Peggy & Eamonn O'Carroll Memorial Handicap
Co Meath trainer Gavin Cromwell had four winner on Monday - his horses are in flying form. Pinot Gris can continue the good run of fortune for Cromwell in the final race of the day. The Mastercraftsman three-year-old won two fairly competitive handicaps on his last two outings. He has every chance of making it three from three here. Esquiline has been a consistent performer for Johnny Murtagh this year. She was only beaten by four and a quarter lengths on debut this time last year by the classy Sounds Of Heaven.
Selection: Pinot Gris
Next Best: Esquiline
