Fillies Maiden 5f 205yds

A promising fourth when sent off favourite over course and distance on her debut, Misappropriation can gain a first career success. The Ger Lyons-trained filly held a prominent early position before losing her place at halfway. Once the penny dropped, she stayed on nicely in a manner that suggested she could do better.

Miracle Beauty, who finished two places in front of the Lyons filly at Naas, should go close. Also making her debut, Joseph O’Brien’s runner is entitled to improve but perhaps not as much as the fourth.

SELECTION: MISAPPROPRIATION

Runner-up on his debut at the Curragh last month, the Aidan O’Brien-trained Bounty can go one better. An Irish 2000 Guineas entry, the No Nay Never colt is bred to appreciate this trip. With the benefit of that previous experience, he should be hard to beat under Wayne Lordan.

Iceford, who was slowly away at Navan on debut before staying on late, should be sharper now. Johnny Murtagh’s son of Beckford looks the biggest threat to the likely short-priced favourite.

SELECTION: BOUNTY

Dual winner Sigh No More should appreciate this easier assignment. Although down the field in Group 3 races on her most recent two starts, she was far from disgraced on either occasion. Proven at this intermediate trip and nicely drawn in stall 9, the Joseph O’Brien-trained filly should go very close under Declan McDonogh.

Stablemate Dignam boasts a similar profile. A maiden winner at Tipperary last month, the Sea The Moon colt finished towards rear in a Group 3 race in Chantilly last time.

SELECTION: SIGH NO MORE

With the form of her recent Curragh fourth having been well-franked by the second horse, Sakti holds leading claims. Twice runner-up in group company as a juvenile, the Ger Lyons-trained filly won her maiden easily at Dundalk in March, before picking up additional blacktype when second at Killarney in July. A consistent performer at a slightly higher level, she should avail of this opportunity.

The lightly raced Azada needs to step up on recent efforts, but is almost certainly capable of doing so. A maiden winner at Leopardstown last October, the Dermot Weld-trained filly finished sixth in the Irish 1000 Guineas on her reappearance. However, having failed to match that form in two subsequent starts, she has a bit to prove.

SELECTION: SAKTI

3.25 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Bluebell Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies & Mares) 1m 3f 214yds

Fifth in both the Epsom and Irish Oaks, Caught U Looking can register a third career success. Although yet to conclusively prove that she stays this trip, the daughter of Harzand is bred to appreciate a test of stamina. Having dropped back in distance for her most recent three starts, the Noel Meade-trained three-year-old returns to 12 furlongs.

A huge improver this season, Ameerat Jumaira is a thorough stayer who will relish this distance. The Michael Halford and Tracey Collins-trained four-year-old graduated through the handicap ranks before finishing fourth in a listed race at Dundalk last time.

SELECTION: CAUGHT U LOOKING

With the aid of Jack Cleary’s 7lb claim, Portland can annex another big staying prize for trainer Aidan O’Brien. A lightly raced son of Dubawi, the three-year-old stayed on strongly to win the Listed King George V Cup at Leopardstown in June. Despite failing to land a blow in Group 3 class subsequently, he will find this easier. Former Cheltenham Festival winner Seddon has been in the form of his life this year. Although now an 11-year-old, the John McConnell-trained gelding has easily won his last two starts. Colin Keane looks a very significant booking.

SELECTION: PORTLAND

Next best: Seddon

With find of the season Darragh O’Sullivan in the saddle, recent Student Derby runner-up Bear Profit can go one better. A winner at Leopardstown earlier in the season, the former British-trained gelding looks to have a bit in hand from the handicapper off his present mark.

Course and distance winner Chicago Storm should appreciate stepping back up to this trip, having been outpaced before staying on late to finish fourth at Killarney earlier in the week.

SELECTION: BEAR PROFIT

Three times a winner earlier in the season, Lord Church can add another success on his return from a break. With the form of his earlier wins well-advertised of late, the Michael Halford and Tracey Collins-trained gelding is almost certainly capable of further progression.

The Andrew Slattery-trained Cloud Seeker has to be respected in his bid for a four-timer. A strong stayer, he might prove more effective over further, but the Masar gelding did win over this distance at Newcastle last time.

SELECTION: LORD CHURCH
