Clydesdale classes
VERY disappointingly, there are just 11 entries in total for the Ulster Bank Clydesdale section which takes place in Horse Ring 2 from 12 noon on Friday, followed by the farm vehicle and trade turnout section. The judge for all classes is Ayrshire’s Ian Craig.
The Hanna family from Ballymoney, who exhibited the 2019 champion, Macfin Sweet Melody, have two yearling fillies entered, both by Muirton Sabre. There are only two geldings catalogued, Hillview Clydesdales’ Hillview Braveheart, an eight-year-old son of Doura Jackpot, and Nicholas Jenkins’s Knockmore Sam, a two-year-old by Carnaff Churchill Sir James.
John Weir’s Rosehall Alexander, is the sole entry in the farm cart/agricultural vehicle class, which he won in 2019, and is one of four in the light turnout class where he also topped the line-up two seasons ago. Raymond and Victor Scott’s Glebeview Shane, runner-up to his stable-companions Alec and Harry in 2019, is one of four entries in the heavy turnout class.
