RUNNING six weeks later than planned, the postponed Goresbridge October renewal will finally get underway next Wednesday.
It is hoped that the government’s Covid-19 restrictions will have eased this weekend to allow active buyers on site, but whatever the scenario, the sale will be livestreamed, and customers will be able to bid online as well as by telephone. Absolutely no spectators will be allowed in. To assist them, vendors have been actively encouraged to post video footage on the Goresbridge gallery, a platform that proved extremely influential at the last sale in September.
The catalogue, which has been held over from October, features a strong entry across the age groups, especially in the three-year-old sector. The list of covering sires is also notable, and leading the way with 12 lots is the ever popular OBOS Quality. In second spot with nine on offer is Capri Van Overis, while Cruising Ambassador and Dignified Van’t Zorgvliet field eight lots apiece.
The Kylemore Stud duo Tyson and Womanizer are also well represented, as are the thoroughbred sires Emperor Augustus, Island Commander, Pointilliste and Golden Master.
