CONNEMARA pony foals, broodmares and youngstock, combined with a nice selection of sport horses and ponies go under the hammer tomorrow (Sunday, October 21st).

The well-bred Connemara filly foal Clonmore Blathain (Black Shadow - Finlea Lass) (Lot 4) looks attractive for any buyer in search of a potential performance pony as her old bloodlines include Maam Hill Silver Shadow and Poetic Justice.

The grey filly foal Agharanny Mindy (Lot 7) by Funambule 11 and Glengowla Amy by Rory Rasputin must surely be bred to jump, she is tested NN.

Lot 8, the grey filly foal Wilma Hazy Girl has good potential and is by the young stallion Atlantic Hazy Storm who carries the best of Esther Feeney’s old bloodlines, her dam Archers Girl is by Ard Archer.

The filly foal Killowen Gealach (Ross Fear Bui - Killowen Heather) (Lot 14) brings with her the great April Star bloodline through her sire Monaghanstown Prince, and also Crosskeys Rebel via her grand dam Ard Rebelina. She is also tested NN.

The June 2017 gelding Hurdlestown Oisin (Lot 26) is a son of the great Bobby Sparrow Blue and Luna, and could be one for the future.

Lot 29, the dun yearling gelding Turpane Davy (Caherlistrane Sammy - Ballyforan Heather by Earl of Castlefrench, grand sire Silver Shadow) looks really special.

Another eye-catching dun gelding is the five-year-old Bailey (Frederiksminde Move On – Celtic Moy Grainne) (Lot 44) – he could be an ideal family pony who knows his job.

For those enjoy driving a carriage, the eight-year-old grey mare Sunhill Katie (Clonbern Boy - Meelick Island Apple Blossom) (Lot 51) could fit the bill.

The 138cm Kilmurray Flash (Lot 59) looks an armchair ride and has been used for beginners on lead rein, he also loves to hunt and go cross-country.

The six-year-old chesnut gelding by Mermus R out of a Cruising mare (Lot 77) is currently jumping around 1.10m and is ready to move up through the grades.

For those who want to go hunting with a bit of blood, the 17hh Snoop Dancer (Lot 82) is a gentle giant, having hunted a season with the North Mayo Harriers.

The Grade A 128 cm grey gelding Jim Jim (Lot 56), foaled in 2003, looks super competitive in any U10 category and he should give any rider confidence to jump the bigger tracks.
