Ger O’Neill’s comment prior to the sale proved prophetic.

“We’ve had a lot of interest in him from all over the world,” O’Neill told The Irish Field ahead of the Goresbridge sale, speaking on behalf of KM Sport Horses. “I would not be surprised if he is sold to America.”

The gelding by is by Lux Z (HANN) out of Killossery Kruisette (ISH), by Cruising (ISH). Killossery Kruisette competed up to Nations Cup level with former Irish Army Equitation School rider Capt. David O’Brien.

Irish-based rider Nicola FitzGibbon was the highest bidder on Kieran Kennedy’s Irish Sport Horse gelding Focus Vendi KBS (Lot 113), a six-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding who has recorded wins in age classes this season. The gelding is by Ars Vivendi out of Stay Focused by Ard VDL Douglas. Fitzgibbon paid €100,000.

SPECIAL LOT

One special lot up for auction at Barnadown was Lot 132, Oldtown Isle, a colt foal by Emerald van’t Ruytershof out of Oldtown Katie.
