Mullingar to host two-day September sale

MULLINGAR Equestrian Horse Sales will host a two-day sale on Friday and Saturday, September 3rd and 4th.

On Friday, the venue will hold a Select Show and Sale of Irish-born hunters and eventers, which will follow the ‘Show and Go’ sales format established by the Traditional Irish Horse Association in previous years. At 2.30pm the entries will be shown over a compact cross-country course, followed by the auction at 5pm.

“We are very pleased with the quality of entries following our two selection days,” said Declan Fagan of Mullingar sales. “The catalogue of approx. 20 lots includes some exceptionally nice four-, five- and six-year-olds along with some more experienced horses suitable for hunting, show jumping or eventing. We are getting strong enquiries especially from the UK.”

Saturday’s sale is a Performance Sale for three-year-olds and over and offers a broad selection of approx. 70 horses and ponies.
