WRAPPING up the Cavan sale calendar for 2023, the Clarke family host a three-day mixed edition next week. Offering a full catalogue, the renewal opens on Wednesday with a one-day performance sale and progresses with subsequent sessions of young stock and Irish Draughts.

As usual, the performance sale offers a wide variety of stock, while featuring in Thursday’s line-up is the popular ‘winter collection’ of 40 foals, selected on merit for their outstanding pedigrees. Among the sires in this sector are Livello, Good Luck VDL, I’m Special de Muze and Corporal VDL, while heading the entire young stock division with six lots forward is Sligo Candy Boy.

The final session on Friday is devoted to Irish Draughts, and standing out here is John Corbett’s newly approved Class 1 stallion Expresso Vision.
