HOT on the heels of the hugely successful sale of elite foals, Cavan stages a general youngstock and Irish Draught sale next week. The former sector offers two-year-olds, yearlings and foals, and as usual will include a special Winter Foal collection, aimed at foals with especially notable pedigrees.
Among the sires most represented during the day are Cornet Son, Sligo Candy Boy, Tyson and Zapatero, all with six apiece.
With 90 entries consisting of foals, two-year-olds and broodmares, Thursday’s Irish Draught sector is also well-supported. Standing out among the covering stallions is Innisfree The Holy Grail, who has eight progeny forward, while Dunsandle Diamond and Carrickcottage Star have five apiece.
