AFTER a few years’ hiatus, there is great anticipation within the dressage community with the announcement by Dressage Ireland of the return of the Dressage Demo to the RDS.
The exhibition by international dressage horse and rider combinations will take place on the opening day of the Dublin Horse Show Wednesday, August 17th 2022 at 3pm in Simmonscourt.
The Dressage Demo will feature talented combinations performing to the rhythm of their individual music choices from Pony to Grand Prix level.
Featured riders
International riders Heike Holstein and Dane Rawlins will compère the event, bringing their global expertise to the RDS Dressage audience.
Dressage Ireland’s chairperson, Marguerite Kavanagh said about the event: “Dressage Ireland is delighted to see Dressage being showcased at the RDS once again. We’ve been working with the RDS and have, with the co-operation of our international riders and horse owners, put together a very exciting demonstration for the Dressage community and wider equestrian community attending the RDS to enjoy. With the support of the RDS, Dressage Ireland members can avail of discounted tickets from the RDS.” The return of the Dressage Demo to the RDS is a key event in the Dressage Ireland 2022 calendar in the run up to the Dressage Ireland National Championships to be held at Barnadown, Gorey, Co Wexford from Friday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 25th.
