Five Irish take on Luhmühlen

THERE are five Irish riders in action at the five-star Luhmühlen in Germany this weekend where, after dressage, Cathal Daniels is best of them in 19th place with Frank and Mags Kinsella’s 15-year-old mare Rioghan Rua (pictured). The pair opened on a dressage score of 34.9 at the venue where they won individual silver at the 2019 European Championships. Daniels is also in 20th with Jo Breheny’s LEB Lias Jewel. Britain’s Bubby Upton tops the leaderboard after dressage with Cannavaro on a personal best score of 24.9. A full report will appear in next week’s paper \ Equus Pix Photography
