TWO IPS-affiliated shows were staged last Sunday, the Limerick/Clare Area running their Winter Woollies fixture at Foxfort Stables, Askeaton, while the Western Area held their spring show at Duffys Equestrian Centre, Claregalway.

Today, Gillian Torrens and her team at the Greenacres Stud and Equestrian Centre in Convoy, Co Donegal are running a hunter show catering for horses and ponies under saddle and in-hand and on the flat and over working hunter fences.

The South Leinster/Waterford Area have advertised 49 classes for their show at Boley Equestrian, Camolin on Sunday, March 9th. They are also running a raffle in conjunction with the show, for which details can be found on the Area’s Facebook page.

The first qualifying leg of this year’s Sports Pony Challenge (dressage, working hunter and show jumping) takes place on Sunday, March 15th at Raheen-Na-Gun Stud and Equestrian Centre outside Kilkenny City. Qualifiers will also be held at the Banner Equestrian Centre, Co Clare on Sunday, March 30th and at Marlton Equestrian, Co Wicklow on Tuesday, April 15th. The final is scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd at Killossery Lodge Stud, north Co Dublin.
