Happy 21st to Niamh!
BELATED happy birthday to show jumper Niamh McEvoy who turned 21 last Sunday and celebrated after riding multiple stallions at the Ballypatrick stallion open day on the same day.
Niamh is based at Greg Broderick’s Thurles, Co Tipperary stable and has just returned from the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida where she spent three months and had plenty of success, including winning a two-star Grand Prix with BP Swifty.
Morris is PEI rider representative
GRADE V para dressage rider Cassandra Morris from Co Mayo has been announced as Para Equestrian Ireland’s new rider representative.
Para Equestrian Ireland said: “Cassandra brings a wealth of experience from her show jumping background and her time working at Coolmore Stud in Kentucky, where she was involved in everything from foaling to sales prep.
“Cassandra has been competing in dressage, both para and able-bodied, for the past 10 years. She’s produced her current horse, Remi, from an unbroken three-year-old to Medium level and is now aiming to compete in para classes this summer. With a strong track record in governance and event organisation through her roles with PEI and Dressage Ireland, Cassandra is passionate about supporting riders and helping to grow opportunities in our sport.”
