INTERCHEM Ireland Ltd is hosting a CPD equine seminar titled “Equine nutrition: needs must, but feeds mightn’t!’’ to be held on Thursday, December 5th at 7pm at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. This seminar worth two CVE credits is aimed at equine veterinary surgeons. This seminar is on the rational inclusion of veterinary nutritional supplementation to optimise reproduction efficiency and athletic performance in Irish horses. Topics include the role of supplementation to assist in breeding, performance horses and nursery stock/youngstock.

Speakers include Dr Stephanie Chapman BSc (Hons) BVSc MRCVS, Veterinary Technical Advisor Europe for Audevard Laboratoires and Sinnéad Oakes MVB MRCVS MPH Cert ESM, Veterinary Technical Advisor for Interchem.

Stephanie Chapman graduated from the University of Liverpool and completed an externship at Equine Medical Associates in Lexington, Kentucky and then worked in equine practice in the south east of the UK. She worked with many Thoroughbred sales in the UK and France, performing videoendoscopy and radiography.

She was also involved in a large-scale research study, conducted by the Orthopaedic Research Center at Colorado State University, performing ultrasound examinations of over 400 horses at the 2016 Keeneland Yearling Thoroughbred Sales. Following this, Chapman worked in equine practice in Australia, including racetrack practice, two breeding seasons, and sport horse work.

In April 2019, Stephanie joined Audevard Laboratoires as their veterinary advisor for Europe, performing technical presentations for veterinary clinics across Europe, as well as speaking at congresses. Her role in this position allows her to stay up to date with the latest scientific updates and research in equine veterinary medicine.
