THE Irish Pony Club announced this week that the southeast area main Jaguar and Land Rover dealer, Auto Boland of Waterford, is to generously sponsor the 2021 National Minimus Championships.
This competition which includes three phases, cross-country riding, swimming and running for under 12 Irish Pony Club (IPC) members, has been a huge success in recent years.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Minimus 2020 did not go ahead but never say never, as there will be an additional class for members who were under 13 on January 1st 2021. The Auto Boland National Minimus Competition 2021 will be held at The Watershed Leisure Centre and Nuenna Farm Equestrian Centre over September 11th and 12th. Irish Pony Club chairman of tetrathlon, John Flood, said: “We are delighted that Auto Boland Land Rover have decided to come on board as the title sponsor of our National Minimus 2021.
“Auto Boland Jaguar Land Rover has deep ties in the local community and this partnership will develop and enhance those links. Photographer Mel Doyle has once again supported us by providing four of his wonderful canvas prints as prizes for which we are most grateful.”
Auto Boland Jaguar Land Rover’s general manager Pat Drea remarked: “We are proud to sponsor Minimus 2021. It has been a challenging 18 months for all and we are happy to offer support and wish all their participants every success over the September weekend here on Noreside.”
