COGNISANT of the weather warnings, and in the interests of safety, the Western Region of Eventing Ireland took the decision on Saturday to cancel the second round of their combined training league, which was due to take place at the Milchem Equestrian Centre last Sunday.

“We are looking to add an extra date to our calendar for the combined training league, which will push the final out to Sunday, February 18th,” said regional secretary, Marie Dunne. She will be having a scheduled lie-in tomorrow morning, as she will be attending tonight’s end-of-year ball, being held jointly between the Western Region and the East Galway Hunt at the Meadow Court Hotel, Loughrea. The league will continue on Sunday, February 4th.
