WATERFORD’s Emily Kate Robinson won both Intermediate I championship classes scoring 73.25% with her 14-year-old KWPN gelding Edvaard to add the Botanica Freestyle to her earlier win.
Emily was the sole entrant in the Advanced Medium Freestyle scoring 69.00% with her home-bred eight-year-old KWPN mare Kekepania.
Lorna O’Hare accounted for both entries in the Elementary Freestyle winning with DBS Oisinn on a score of 66.73% and she was the only one to line out in the Medium Freestyle, completing on 68.33% with DBS Second Chance. Christa Dillon and Blackhill Kilcoltrim scored 69.44% in the uncontested Novice Freestyle. Millie Cosgrave and Sarah Mellor’s Rathbawn Twilight won the Preliminary Freestyle on a 72.22% total.
Ivor Harper judged the popular Trailblazers classes with Tess Cosgrave (Polly Put the Kettle On) winning the under 10 championship on 75.59%. Molly Breslin’s 73.75% with Rathganly Champion secured the Junior Preliminary championship and Éimhín Sagarzazu (Dream Shadow) claimed the Senior Preliminary championship on a 63.21% total. Pippa Dunne’s impressive score of 78.75% with Jacobs Dream ensured she topped the standings in the under 12 Preliminary (Short Arena) division.
Amber Jones-Anderson and Lightning Paddy won the uncontested over ten walk and trot class on 73.24%. Just one lined out in the six-year-old young horses’ class with Andrea Colfer scoring 63% with Haylemma Lady’s Blue Eyed Bay.
There was one competitor in each of the para dressage championship classes with Clodagh Walsh and Knockvalley Mai completing the Botanica grade one championship.
Two Irish international para dressage riders competed at CoilÓg, Heather Lemmon and Ladychapel Narnia who placed second in the Para Grand Prix A II class at Hickstead last month, completed the Botanica grade two championship.
Jessica McKenna with Davidoff 188, winners of two classes in Hickstead, completed the Botanica grade three championship.
