ACROSS the country hunts are finding new ways to attract new members and cater for more of the equestrian community. A popular way to do this is to hold hacks and non-jumping days.

This season the Newry Hunt will be holding a series of hacks and cross country rides. The first hack will take place in the picturesque Drumbanagher Estate on Sunday, September 29th.

The second hack in the series will be at Clandeboye on Sunday, October 6th. This day also comes with jumping and non-jumping options, making it a very attractive option for almost every horse and rider combination. The final hack will be on October 20th and will be a leisurely hack from Mountnorris.

This series is an ideal opportunity to see if you and your horse might be suited to hunting this year, to work on horse and rider fitness, and it will be a great opportunity to meet new people in the equestrian community.
