Under the tuition of Susanne Macken and Tucker Geraghty, the action-packed course will include training in show jumping, cross-country, working thoroughbreds on the gallops and schooling over hurdles, as seen on the television programme Jockey Eile.
The purpose of the course is to give riders aged 18 years or over an insight into working in racing as well as providing a fun week of learning for riders of all levels.
“Having run the boot camp for Jockey Eile, we felt there was a real demand out there from young people who have basic riding experience, but want some help getting to the next level,” commented Geraghty. “Over the five days, we will give riders plenty of training and schooling that will allow them to improve their skills.”
FEI judge Macken added: “We want to offer riders comprehensive training to allow them to improve their riding ability so they are confident enough to ride thoroughbreds and school over hurdles.”
Participants will also get an insight into the world of racing from top National Hunt jockey Barry Geraghty.
