ANDREW Nicholson has auctioned a unique bracelet made from his late great horse Avebury to raise money for children that are currently receiving treatment for cancer.

Avebury was sadly put down last month after being diagnosed with a malignant bone tumour. Together with the bracelet, a framed photography of the grey gelding, signed by Nicholson, will also be auctioned.

The funds raised will be donated to support Kamran’s ward at the Children’s Hospital, John Radcliffe, Oxford, where children receive treatment for cancer and other blood disorders.

The auction, which opened last Saturday, finished at midnight last night. The exact amount raised was not yet known as we went to press. Alternatively, if anyone wishes to make donation, you can visit www.justgiving.com/oxfordradcliffe and specify the donation is for Kamran’s ward, Children’s Hospital.
