FORMER European eventing pony championship rider Sam Dennigan, now founder and CEO of Strong Roots, has joined the board of Endeavor Ireland, a non-profit that have helped more than 2,600 entrepreneurs to build over 1,600 companies in 43 markets.

Dennigan, who rode on the Irish team at the 2000 and 2001 pony Europeans, founded the plant-based frozen food company in 2015.

Investment

In 2021, it secured a $55 million investment from McCain Foods and, earlier this year, acquired the remaining part of the business that it didn’t already own in another multi-million dollar deal.

Strong Roots was supported by Endeavour Ireland and Dennigan told the Business Post that he wanted to “pay it forward” for the invaluable support the company received.
