IT is not often that four generations of one family are all in the show ring at the same show on the same day, and all winning!
That was the case for the Curran family from Moycullen last Sunday at Roundstone Show, which was celebrating 100 years in the charming seaside Galway village.
Pictured is Padraic Curran showing his mare Glencarrig Cora and her winning filly foal, Glencarrig Avani. Also winning at the venue was Padraic’s son Gearoid with Glencarrig Rosie, who went on to be the reserve champion behind Bernard Keaney’s overall champion Murvey Rita.
Padraic’s grandson, Patrick, won the two-year-old filly class with Glencarrig Honeysuckle, and rounding off the day was young Fiadh Walsh, granddaughter to Gearoid and great-granddaughter of Padraic, picking up a red rosette in the mini young handlers class with her pony Elsa.
A day to remember!
