JOE and Bernie Carroll’s garden (Eircode: V35 EK66) is a hive of activity as the Limerick couple prepare to light it up tomorrow (Sunday) for two good causes. To date, the big-hearted Bruree couple have raised over €85,000 for various charities.
“Coolrus Christmas Lights for Charity has been going since 2008 and, each year, we light up our garden with Christmas lights and the public are welcome to walk around and see up to 150 different figurines,” said Joe, who sponsors the supreme pony championship at Charleville Show, while Bernie is the show’s PRO.
“In recent years, we have built an indoor Christmas Village display, which has to be seen and, this year, we’ve extended the indoor section to include a fabulous Lego section, including the Harry Potter collection.”
100% of the optional donation is passed along to Pieta House and St Joseph’s Foundation, Charleville (which caters for over 500 people with special needs). Coolrus Christmas Lights will be lit up nightly from 5.30pm, from tomorrow (December 1st) to January 6th.
