TEAM Ireland Paris 2024 Paralympian Jessica McKenna, who is currently undertaking her BA (Hons) Equine Business Management at Hartpury University, is inviting equestrian fans to take part in a research study of ‘Analysing the Impact of Social Media Engagement on Equine Sports Fandom Loyalty in Ireland and Great Britain’.

In this study, Jessica will be investigating how frequently equestrian sports fans engage with their favourite athlete and/or team and what is the most preferred way of engaging with them i.e liking, commenting, sharing. She hopes the questions will help give more depth into the reasoning behind these choices and, in turn, see how it effects equine sports fandom loyalty.

The survey takes no longer than five minutes to complete. The results will be presented as a dissertation and a paper and electronic copy will be kept at Hartpury University. Additionally, Jessica aims to publish the research in an appropriate journal.
