Jane and Dandini off to HOYS

JANE Field may have to take a short break from her Agricultural Science studies in October as the second year UCD student qualified Creganna Dandini for the Mountain & Moorland 153cms working hunter final at the Horse of the Year Show. The pair got their golden ticket at last weekend’s British Show Pony Society summer championships, where they also stood reserve champion in the Heritage working hunter section. Jane and her younger sister Lara, together with Emma and Hannah Mackey, Lily Nadir, Aoibhinn Ruane and Alisha Vard were also on the winning inter-county working hunter team at last weekend’s championships.

Bred by Jane’s mother Marjorie Hardiman, the home-bred is by Cashelbay Prince and another of Robbie Fallon’s Cashelbay line will also line out at HOYS. His Cashelbay Rocket (Cashelbay Cruise) won the ridden Connemara class there in 2018 and returns with stable jockey Michael Harty on board, having qualified at the NCPS Staffordshire Show in July. The pair then qualified for the Olympia M&M finals, hsted this year in Liverpool, at Bolesworth International.
