THE Kildare junior mounted games team proved unbeatable once again at the National Ploughing Championships last Tuesday, beating off the challenge of the Tipperary team. At the half way point Tipperary led, but the determination of the Lilywhites saw them get the upper hand towards the end. It has been an unbelievable season for the Kildare juniors, as they have won all major competitions this summer.

The victorious team at the Ploughing was the same team that won Charleville, Laois and the Irish Pony Club Championship at Barnadown. They are Jack Beirne (Ginger), Adam Beirne (Pony), Lily Sheehan (Dante), Alex Shortt (Gerry) and Lily Rose Sheehan Byrne (Cookie).

In the senior division, it was the Carlow team of Lily Hatton (Ginger), Cillian Tobin (Molly), Lucy Kelly (Bluebell), Pippa Blake (Roxy) and Conor Buckley (Luca) that took the win.
