GRAINNE Sugars has been involved in the British Horse Society for the majority of her career and was influential in its growth around Ireland.
Her wonderful contribution to the BHS was recognised at the recent National Convention which took place at Cavan Equestrian Centre last week.
Yogi Breisner FBHS, MBE, and Sabrina Jones FBHS presented Sugars with a specially made award in front of the full audience at the first day of the convention.
Sugars was very involved in Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre in Rathcoole, Co Dublin, where she prepared students for their BHS exams. She successfully trained students up to BHS Stage 5 Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship and all Pony Club and Equestrian Tourism exams.
Sugars was also an assessor for the BHS exams up to Stage 4 and she also an Equestrian Tourism Centre manager.
