CHRISTMAS came early for the young riders of Co Meath’s Ward Union Pony Club who held two Christmas runs to ensure social distancing protocols could be met.

The numbers were kept small in each with the older group having their run in Kells while the younger riders had a socially distanced-Santa run, held by kind permission of the Russell family.

The riders had to find Christmas decorations hanging in the trees and bring them back to put them in a bucket that Santa lowered down from the loft in return for a selection box so there was plenty of fun enjoyed by all!

Well done to all the children, parents, and especially the organisers involved!
