A HEARTY congratulations to Irish Horse World’s hunting correspondent Noel Mullins, who won the lightweight cob class at the Flavours of Fingal County Show in North Co Dublin last Saturday.
Noel was riding Tisrara Captain, owned by his neighbour Marie Byrne. His comeback to the show scene was a plan with Marie to do something different in his 80th year having not sat on a horse for 20 years!
Noel borrowed a jacket from Chris Horrigan and he credited the win to the holy medals that were sown in by Amelia McGuinness.
Despite some acupuncture and physio on his back to get himself riding fit, Noel proclaims he still has limited agility. However, it was still good enough to win! Well done, Noel.
