Glasson Farmers
THE Glasson Farmers hunt in Co Westmeath hosted a charity meet last weekend in aid of Shirley Moran-Breslin, daughter of field master Gerry Moran.
Shirley is undergoing specialised treatment for Lymes disease in the Czech Republic. Photographs of the day’s hunting and more information about the fundraising drive are available on the hunt’s Facebook page and donations are very welcome. Contact Cathy Cuffe on 087-9967397.
Dressage clinic
SOUTH Munster Dressage will host its first dressage youth performance clinic aimed at younger riders on Saturday, March 28th at The Paddocks Arena, Midleton, Co Cork.
The clinic will include a one-to-one training session with international dressage rider and coach Anne Marie Dunphy, who is also the performance coach for the Irish International Dressage Pony Team.

Percy branches out
AFTER five years honing her skills as stable rider for former world champion Dermott Lennon, Angela Percy has gone out on her own. Percy has set up in partnership with Clement “Frenchy” Waras, with the pair bringing a wealth of experience to their new yard.
Percy, a successful rider for Lennon both nationally and internationally, is also known as an excellent producer of young horses while Waras spent eight years as manager and head travelling groom for Olympic show jumper Cian O’Connor. The yard is based just outside of Banbridge, Co Down and was recently refurbished with Percy and Waras also putting in a brand new outdoor arena and set of fences.
Ring of Kerry ride
THE Kerry Foxhounds are running a very special charity ride around the Ring of Kerry next month in aid of three cancer charities.
Taking place on the Easter weekend, April 3rd-5th, all money raised will be divided between Cork Cancer Research Unit, Cork/Kerry link bus and Palliative Care.
The plan is to ride the Ring of Kerry over three days, with three stages of 10-14 miles on each day for riders to tackle.
