THE Killinick Branch of the Irish Pony Club finally got their hands on the Lillingston Cup when celebrating their win in the season-long national championships’ competition at a function held in Mary Barry’s Bar, Kilmore last Friday night.

Among those present were the Area 4 representative Alice Mernagh and a thoroughly delighted Larry O’Keeffe, the Killinicks’ District Commissioner for 18 years. Larry dedicates much of his time to the Branch and its members as well as providing the fantastic facilities in Sleedagh. No doubt, there will be plenty of Killinick members ready to start in next Sunday’s fun minimus and Tetrathlon competition. This is being hosted by the Co Limerick Branch who are holding the swim and shoot phases at the University of Limerick and the ride and run at Clonshire.

The National Dressage Day is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15th at CoilÓg, while there is a waitlist in operation for the Mackey/IPC national hunter trials championships at Clonshire on Saturday, April 26th at Ballycahane. The very active North Kilkenny Branch is offering IPC members the opportunity to warm-up for the championships by running a Pony Club hunter trials at Nuenna Farm on Monday, April 21st.
