CHARLOTTE Coffey’s SHW Candies Diamond, a mare by Van Gogh, out of Candie (Numero Uno), was ridden to the win by Jamie Landers in the 1.20m two-phase at Maryville last Sunday. The duo posted a second round clear in a time of 23.64 to prove best of the 61-strong start list.
Runner-up was Emily Moloney riding Cruicerath Flexianna (Flex A Bill x Holland). They stopped the clock at 24.18.
Madeline Allen rode her own Dutch-bred stallion Daroento VDL (Cardento x Nimmerdor) into third in 24.43, while Pat Sheahan and his own gelding Coille Mor Q (O.B.O.S Quality x Coille Mor Hill), bred by Michael McInerney, took fourth place in 24.63.
Fifth place went to Matilda Walsh riding her own Millie MF (Guidam Junior x Contender), bred by Kedrah House Stud, they broke the finish beams in 24.86.
This class is also a Hibernia Sport Horses seven-year-old qualifier and Alice Moloney was the only rider to finish in the top six, when she guided the Sinead Brennan-bred Sir Escobar (Elvis Ter Putte x Aquilino) to a clear round in 26.16 for owner Tom Moloney.
