THE Ace Plumbing and Heating 1m two-phase, incorporating the Hibernian League five-year-old league, at Broadmeadows on Sunday morning was won by Kevin O’Reilly riding Louise Halford’s Cranny West (Cranny Vol Clover x Cranny Diamond Coevers, by Coevers Diamond Boy), bred by Flan McNamara.

The pair posted a second round time of 26.94, over four seconds ahead of the other 12 double clear rounds from the 28 starters, to ensure the victory.

Faye Guthrie with her own gelding Kilmullen Argentino (Cassino x Argentinus), bred by Joe Dunne, finished in the runner-up spot in 31.91.

Third place went to Kate Murray and her own mare Crynolisk Feisty Blue. They recorded a second round time of 32.03.

Oisin Magee and Declan Gahan’s Brackleys Chanel (Casallo Z x Cheknov PZK), bred by Brendan McArdle, took fourth place, and were the highest placed five-year-old in the class. Sandra Duffy’s mare Yirrkala Felicity (For Edition x Hepstedt), ridden by young rider Abdulaziz Albaloul, finished in fifth place in 33.59.

Sixth went to another young rider, Yasmin Murray aboard her own Atlantic Coltaire (Corland x Voltaire), bred by Thomas Duffy, in a time of 33.89.

Gain 1.10m two-phase

Junior Mark Neilan and Paul Carberry’s seven-year-old Guy Gano won the Gain Equine Nutrition-sponsored 1.10m two-phase in Broadmeadows last Sunday.

By Gemini (Clone), out of Solitaire Lady, by Cruising, the gelding was bred by Sean Noone.

From a starting field of 14, just nine produced a double clear round with Neilan’s the quickest in 25.36.

Eoghan Murphy rode his own home-bred mare Luv U Forever (Kings Master x Luidam) into second place in a slightly slower time of 25.81.

Kilmullen Argentino (Cassino X Argentinus) was ridden into third place by his owner Faye Guthrie in 26.21.

Broadmeadows’ own Brian Duff rode his home-bred seven-year-old mare BEC Anka (Quintero x Cottonclub) into fourth place in 28.24.

The seven-year-old gelding Spink Piloth (O-Piloth x Shenandoah Prince Holly), bred by Eamonn Brophy, was guided into fifth by owner/rider Patrick Murphy in 28.91.

Daisy Duggan partnered her five-year-old gelding Candy Crunch Ball (Sligo Candy Boy x Supreme Ginger), bred by William Quinn, into sixth in 30.03.

The top spot in the Broadmeadows Equestrian Centre-sponsored 90cm two-phase went to Kate Murphy and her own nine-year-old mare Crynolisk Feisty Blue, when the duo recorded a second round time of 29.56 in the 14-strong class, which saw 10 combinations produce a double clear round.

Kevin O’Reilly and Louise Halford’s Cranny West were runners-up in 29.74, while Sofie Borkop rode her own eight-year-old mare KS Leap of Faith into third in 31.86.

Abdulaziz Albaloul rode Sandra Duffy’s Yirrkala Felicity into fourth place in 32.44, and Abdulrahman Albaloul guided Paul Curtis’ seven-year-old Susie Quatro (Quintero x Lord Caletto), bred by Sandra Duffy, into fifth in 32.79. Sixth place went to Yasmin Murray aboard her own Atlantic Coltaire in 33.98.
