WINNERS of the four-year-old championship were Cathal McMunn and Cantalupe V/D Holstenhoeve when they were awarded a score of 107.66.
Second place went to Feah Moore’s Dms Kings Rising when finishing on 104.
In third place was Emma Jackson with Moveen Sibon on 95. Two points behind and claiming fourth place were Jessica Burke and CHF Miss Stetter. McMunn returned to claim fifth place with CHS Hugo. Completing the top-six line-up were Stacey Watling and Colandro Rivie after finishing on a score of 89.66.
Five-year-olds
Leading the victory lap in the five-year-old championship were Eddie Moloney and Ardkyle First Edition when they crossed the line clear in 40.57 seconds. Owned by Peter O’Toole, the mare is by Cobra out of the Jack of Diamonds-sired dam AFS Salvin. This combination has impressed this year, taking the RDS five-year-old qualifier in the Meadows.
Slotting into second place was Catherine Thornton with Coachelle, clear in 41.63, ahead of Cathal McMunn and Jardy, clear in 42.05. Accounting for fourth place was John Murray with Bukhara Cruise, clear in 45.15, while Gabriel Tunney and Roses for the Lady took fifth when they kept everything in place in 46.44. Last of the double clears 46.56 and accounting for sixth were Paul Devlin and Paolo Nutini.
Young Riders
Olivia Roulston was on a roll in the Young Rider Championships as she took the honours in both the 1.20m Young Rider Championship and the 1.10m. In the 1.20m, she partnered Avalent to victory when fastest of the double clears, producing a time of 38.10.
She was chased home by Abbey Morton and Blueoak Yogi, who were less than a second behind in 38.93.
Hannah Agnew delivered a clear with the Harry Marshall-owned Kingdom Come in 39.38 for third, ahead of Dylan Ward and Hard Times, clear in 41.14.
Slotting into fifth was Cian Goggins with Lisbane Aladdin who stopped the clock in 41.87, while in sixth place were Jessica Moore and H Blokx, who went clear in 42.04.
Double joy
Roulston recorded her second win of the day in the 1.10m championship when, aboard Novellent, she crossed the line with nothing to add in 43.48.
Taking the runner-up spot was Stephen Smith with Brockagh Loughehoe Lady who kept all the poles in place in a time of 44.53.
Third place belonged to Angela Percy and Charming CVN, clear in 45.84, ahead of Emily Turkington and Gold Queen, who went clear in 47.22. Fionn Clarke and Glenpatrick Cool Guy put in a foot-perfect performance in a time of 47.28 for fifth, while Co Down rider Mary Mcleigh and Dunnanew Sunset, completed the top six line-up having gone clear in 51.79.
