FRANCIS Connors and Uskerty Diamond Lady climbed into joint-second position on the Connolly’s Red Mills Munster Grand Prix league table by winning the 12th round of the series at DungarvanShow in Co Waterford last week.
Connors occupies top spot on the table with Capitol Cruis on 52 points, and he now has 45 points with Hilda Anthony’s Uskerty Diamond Lady, holding joint-second position with Paul Beecher and Loughnatousa Eric. Thirteen of the 28 starters made it into the jump-off, where Connors and Uskerty Diamond Lady once again proved unbeatable against the clock, crossing the line clear in 37.10 seconds.
Colligan’s Peter Moloney was just two-tenths of second slower with Arbutus Ohio to finish as runner-up.
Liam O’Meara, who won last time out at Newcastle West, took third place withCurraghgraigue Jack Take Flight (37.54), while league leaders, Francis Connors and Capitol Cruis, added to their points tally when finishing fourth.
Cappagh’s Gemma Phelan slotted into sixth with Loughnavatta Indigo, while Peter Moloney also finished sixth with Five Star Quality.
The Connolly’s Red Mills Munster Grand Prix League now moves to Maryville in Co Cork, for the 13th round of action today, Saturday, August 6th.
