Win for Jack Conlon Gateau
CO CLARE show jumper Jack Conlon Gateau had great success last weekend when winning Sunday’s 1.20m Pony class in Le Mans, France. He produced the only clear round of the competition with Samba Van De Groenheuvel to land victory, before finishing third aboard Sienna Dusky Sky.
Gavin Harley second in Tryon
GAVIN Harley finished second in the 1.45m Grand Prix in Tryon last Sunday. Riding the eight-year-old gelding Corbawido PS, who is by Darragh Kenny’s former top horse Balou du Reventon, he earned €5,500 for his double clear round in 29.35 seconds to finish runner-up behind USA’s Mimi Gochman and Gigi’s Girl BH (0/0 29.27). Jordan Kilkenny finished in sixth place aboard Colour Your Day.
Darragh Kenny wins one-star Spanish Grand Prix in Oliva
FOR the second week in-a-row, Offaly’s Darragh Kenny won the one-star Grand Prix in Oliva, Spain. This time he partnered Colridge Equestrian’s seven-year-old gelding Dakota de l’Ardrais to victory in Saturday’s one-star Silver Tour Grand Prix. Kenny, the best of six double clear rounds, was ahead of USA’s Catherine Pasmore in second and Denmark’s Tina Lund in third.
