CHLOE Hughes Kennedy and Clare Hughes’ Dutch-bred stallion Zuidam won the Jim Derwin- sponsored 1.25m two-phase competition on Monday morning.
From a large starting field of 65, some 27 combinations lodged a double clear round so time became the deciding factor.
Hughes Kennedy left her victory in no doubt stopping the clock at 26.85 almost a second ahead of her closest rival second-placed British rider Nicole Kershaw riding Lisa Rosbotham’s Novellent in 27.66.
Mon Ami was guided into third place by Joanne Blair in 27.91, while Gymolga and Ryan Sweetnam slotted into fourth.
Taylor Peare riding Lissyegan Geoff were fifth and Holly Anne Sweetnam and One and Only Spartacus took sixth.
