Mirdad, who was leading rider in blistering conditions last week, again consistently delivered three wins and seven top 10 places.

“Due to the weather getting cooler, my horses were feeling overly good and I had to bring them down to earth before we started jumping. All horses had to be worked twice a day to keep them in tune,’’ said Samir whose is trained by Dermott Lennon and John Floody.

However, the strategy played off with a string of good results racked up in the Elite Amateur Tour.

Mirdad’s Hubbb Alrahmaan enjoyed two consecutive wins in the 1.15 metre by comfortable margins of seven and 3.5 seconds respectively. The horse also placed 10th on Sunday.

Earlier they scored first and second place in the 1.10m and took a second, two sixths and a seventh place to put Mirdad in strong contention to take the leading rider prize again in week two.
