THE 1.30m MEC Mini Grand Prix title at the Mullingar Summer Championships last Saturday went to Sven Hadley and his own home-bred stallion HSH Harper Du Seigneur (Aganix Du Seigneur x Chippison).

The pair provided the only double clear round of the class to secure the victory. Hadley also took the runner-up spot aboard his own seven-year-old gelding Make It Easy HSH (Don’t Touch It M x Landos), as the fastest four-faulters in a time of 34.32.

Junior rider Mary Fitzgerald and Adrienne Sternlicht’s Lafayette van Overis (Kashmir Van Schut x Tauber van het Kapelhof) took third place. Fourth was another junior rider Ruby Lily Gaines riding Jacqueline Gaines’ Castle Lux Clover (Boherdeal Clover x Lux Z), bred by Jennifer Devlin.

Junior Isobel Sheehan and Athea Clover Trend (Future Trend x Clover Clon VII), bred by John Joe Tierney and owned by Zelda O’Callaghan, took fifth, while John Floody riding John Downey’s home-bred Rockhill Angel (VDL Arkansas x Rockhill Clover) slotted into sixth.
