GAIN Equine Nutrition and Alltech are sponsoring the Irish Breeders Classic, which will take place in Barnadown, Co Wexford, from Thursday, August 30th to Sunday, September 2nd.

Now in its seventh year, the Irish Breeders Classic is a firm fixture in the Irish show jumping calendar, hosting the world’s richest young horse class with a prize fund of €50,000.

Along with the Irish Breeders Classic, there will be a four-year-old championship, as well as championships for seven and eight-year-olds throughout the four-day show.

The ever-popular select foal auction will take place on Saturday, September 1st. Last year, the select foal auction received 90 entries, with a final 15 put forward for the auction.

The Irish Breeders Classic has solidified its reputation for producing talented and successful international show jumpers, including MHS Going Global, Limestone Grey, Arraghbeg Clover (gold medalist WBSC), Ard Ginger Pop (silver medalist WBSC), Killossery Kaiden (gold medalist WBSC) and Columbcille Gipsy (gold medalist WBSC) in 2017.
