DAFM dressage series
HORSE Sport Ireland, in conjunction with the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, recently announced the dates and venues for the 2024 DAFM dressage development series.
As previously, the series will run as a league with four qualifying legs and a final. To be eligible for the final, a minimum of two appearances at the qualifiers is required as are minimum scores of 63% at each outing. Prizemoney of over €46,000 will be available across the league with prizes for four, five, and six-year-olds plus seven and eight-year-olds as well as breeders’ prizes.
Three legs will feature pony-only classes for five, six and seven-year-olds.
All horses and ponies competing in the series must have a documented studbook passport.
The series gets underway with horse only classes at the Eastern Region show in Marlton next Sunday, September 22nd.

Connemara pony show
ENTRIES for the re-scheduled CPBS Connemara Pony Show ridden and performance classes taking place at Galway Equestrian Centre in Athenry on Saturday, September 28th, re-opened this week due to demand and will close tomorrow (Sunday). Entries are taken via ItsPlainSailing and entries for the Puissance will be taken on the day.
