THOUSANDS of images shared by equestrian fans all over the world - from ordinary horse owners to Olympic champions - were used to create this beautiful tribute to Australian rider Olivia Inglis, who was tragically killed in a cross-country fall.
The 17-year-old and her horse Coriolanus suffered a rotational fall on Sunday, March 6th when competing in the two-star class at Scone Horse Trials.The horse was later put down due to its injuries.
Every photo shared publicly on social media under the #RideForOlivia hashtag is featured in this incredible tribute to the young rider.
The Daily Mail reports that, speaking at a memorial service for his daughter in St Jude's Church at Randwick in Sydney, Olivia's father Arthur thanked the thousands of riders who had sent messages from around the world, saying the family was overwhelmed by the kindness and sympathyfrom people they had never met.
"Thank you to the equestrian and equine world. The messages and gestures have been absolutely astonishing," he said. "Horse lovers the world over, no matter their discipline or level of involvement, seem to have so profoundly and accurately empathised with the driving force within Olivia."
