0730hrs Give morning feed. Make sure to feed and exercise foals early so that, when it comes to the sales, you are ready to start showing from 08:30am onwards.

0830hrs Weanlings can be given a quick groom and have their feet picked out (it is very important that foals get used to picking up all fourlegs when asked them to do so).

0900hrs Foals should walk up to 15 minutes on each rein by the time the sale comes around. It is important to remember that if you have a number of foals walking that you alternate the lead on a regular basis and get the foals used to walking away from a group when needed.

0930hrs Foals should be turned out where possible.

2200hrs Final small feed can be given.

1500hrs Foals get brought in and have their feet picked out and a quick groom. A small feed can be given.

1800hrs Foals can get another small feed
