FRIDAY evening at the Curragh saw the launch of the sectional timing tests and it only took until the first race for them to reveal a potential star as Slan Abhaile (88+) impressed in the closing stages.

Although drawn in stall five, Colin Keane plotted a course for the far side rail before launching his challenge back towards the centre of the track. So, arguably the closing sectional of 35.84secs would have been faster if the filly had gained a straight run to the line.
