ON his just second ride back after fracturing a vertebrae at Ballinrobe’s biggest meeting of the year in late May, Robbie Power got back amongst the winners courtesy of Nibiru in the Michael Cawe Suspended Ceilings Maiden Hurdle.

Power, who only made his return to action at Kilbeggan last Friday, enjoyed a straightforward success on this four-year-old whose victory was notable on several fronts. Firstly, it announced his rider’s return to the track, and secondly, it served notice of the well-being of the Tony Martin string as Galway looms large on the horizon as this was the trainer’s second winner in four days.
