THE team at Baroda Stud Consigning are currently assembling drafts for the National Hunt store sales at Goffs UK, Goffs and Tattersalls. Baroda Stud’s Cox family have a long-standing history in National Hunt racing that features dual Grade 1 winner Tranquil Sea and Cheltenham Festival winner Ninetieth Minute.
The consigning arm of Baroda Stud has consigned many group race winners on the flat, including the Irish National Stud’s first-season sire and Group 1 winner Lucky Vega.
Their most recent Grade 1 winner is this season’s Challow Hurdle winner Stage Star. He was bred at the farm on behalf of breeders Ruxley Holdings Ltd, out of their mare Sparky May, and sold at the 2019 Goffs Land Rover Sale to Tom Malone and Paul Nicholls for €60,000.
This year’s consignments will include sons of Milan, No Risk At All and Walk In The Park as well as daughters of Cokoriko, Kayf Tara and Mount Nelson.
David Cox of Baroda Stud Consigning commented: “We feel that we have shown our ability to sell the horses entrusted to us well. Ultimately, that is what it is all about. All the while, we would like our clients to enjoy the experience by being part of it as much as they would like.
“At the very least, they have regular communication from us, from the time their horse is given to us to the time the hammer falls. We appreciate the trust that is placed in us and have a great team in place both at the farm to prep, and a separate and well-known team on the sales grounds, led by Noel McDonnell. Do get in touch with Pádraic Gahan or myself to discuss.”
